Take a deposit at checkout on Wix Stores.

For made-to-order shops where paying everything up front puts buyers off.

How it works

Set the rule

Pick a percentage or a fixed amount, for one product or for the whole store, then add the app to your checkout and publish your site.

The Deposits dashboard with a deposit rule set to a percentage of the order total

The buyer pays part at checkout

Checkout shows the split as Pay Now and Pay Later. The buyer orders the real product, so there is no fake deposit product in your inventory or your reports.

Collect the balance

The app creates the payment link the moment the deposit is paid. Every open balance, its due date and its state sit in one dashboard, with up to three reminders on dates you choose.

Questions

Can Wix Stores take a deposit without an app?
No. Wix says partial payments are not possible in Wix Stores and is collecting votes for the feature.
Does the buyer order the real product?
Yes. There is no fake deposit product, so your inventory and your reports stay correct.
How does the rest get paid?
The app creates a payment link the moment the deposit is paid, and every reminder carries it. Add an automation with an email step and it reaches the customer on its own.
How many reminders are there?
Up to three per order, on dates you choose.
Does it work for Wix Bookings?
Yes, for paid Bookings services as well as Wix Stores products.
What does the free plan cover?
The free plan tracks 25 open balances at a time. Per-product deposits and automatic reminders need the paid plan.
